Description
I have had this displayed under glass in my kitchen for years. This actually is considered a Raggedy Ann collectible, but it actually is an un-used (new) label for what used to be a store brand called Raggedy Ann from 1939 to 1975. This particular label is from around 1966 for dark sweet cherries. There is a UPC code, which would make you think this is a new copy, but you would be wrong. This pre-dates our modern UPC's. There are only 11 digits, which is really only used by the local supermarket with their own store equipment! The label measures 10" long (would have wound around a tin can) by 4" wide. Apparently, the local supermarket had promotions for Raggedy Ann brand by giving out unused labels (such as this) back in the day to take home to their daughters for their Raggedy Ann doll!
If you love Raggedy Ann, too, this would be totally frameable!
There is no damage at all to this label since I had it pressed between 2 glass pieces. It will ship between cardboard to keep flat for you as it ships out via USPS with tracking.
