Description
Size: 1 9/16" x 1 9/16" x 18 1/2"
Mun Ebony (Diospyros Mun)
Origin: Southeast Asia.
Very strong, hard, dense, wavy to irregular grain and usually interlocked with fine texture. Color from dark green to black striping with caramel colored background. Contrast such as tan, green dark chocolate and even dark deep purple is often found in this species.  Good for turning, great for carving and best for tone wood.  Probably the most stable species in all of the ebony family.  No doubt a
first class timber.
This is a genuine ebony and nowadays it is next to impossible to obtain.
Fully dried and ready for your project.
