    Description

****** RESERVE PRICE is ***** This is a rare red #42 old logo jersey that was worn by winger Lance Monych for the Phoenix Coyotes in the inaugural 4-team NHL rookie tournament in 2003 that was held in El Segundo, California and also included rookie teams from the LA Kings, San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks. The Coyotes had yet to debut their new jersey logo and colors and dressed their rookie squad in leftover red home and white road practice jerseys and added nameplates. Everything is sewn on this Jofa size 56 jersey that shows moderate overall use from the four-game tourney that the Coyotes won. Monych was a former WHL star with the Brandon Wheat Kings who was a 4th-round draft pick of Phoenix in 2002. He played in the AHL, ECHL and CHL from 2005-10 before going to Europe and suiting up for pro teams in Germany, Italy and Denmark until 2014. T
his jersey was obtained in a near-complete set of the 2003 Coyotes rookie tourney jerseys d
irectly from the Coyotes in a bulk buy of old logo practice jerseys in 2004.
