A 6-foot-3 redhead, Melindy was a 3rd-round draft pick of Phoenix in 2012 and still has yet to make it to the NHL yet. But he was the first captain of the ECHL's Newfoundland Growlers in 2018-19 when they won the Kelly Cup. This is

Melindy played for QMJHL Moncton from 2010-13 and for Phoenix's AHL affiliate in Portland until 2015 before playing for AHL San Diego and six different ECHL teams including Newfoundland, which is an affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
