Description:
A beautiful crisp uncirculated banknote from Turkey. This is the L1970, 20 Liras currency note issued in 1974. The banknote is orange-brown on multicolored underprint on the front. It depicts the image of Kamal Ataturk, the father of modern Turkey, to the right of the front. The back, which is brownish-gray, has the image of the Ataturk Mausoleum of Ataturk in Ankara in the center with two large statues to the left. The banknote displays the date 14 Ocak (January 26) 1970, the denomination, and the serial number on the front and only the denomination on the back. The note has two signatures in black on the front. This particular note has the serial number F82469493 which is displayed on the front twice in black color but is not displayed on the back. The paper of the note is very crisp. The note has a water mark showing Kamel Ataturk facing left at right of the front. Please carefully view the scan presented as it is part and parcel of our description.
Date:
The note is dated 14 Ocak 1970.

Although not marked as such it is known to have been printed by DBM-A without imprint.
Size:
The banknote measures ~5 5/8" by ~2 9/16".

P 187.
Condition:
I would grade this banknote as a crisp uncirculated with all the details being perfectly preserved. The note has no folds, no soiling, no wrinkling, no stains, no tears, no splits, and no pinholes. The corners are intact and squared with no rounding. The note is nicely centered and looks absolutely great. It is in great crisp uncirculated state, is all original and is nicely centered. Just a great piece to add to your collection. Please carefully review scan presented for additional condition information.
