Natural ingredients, traditionally made All Green Jay Gourmet Caramel Sauces are handmade in small batches. We take just a handful of simple, natural ingredients and never, ever use preservatives. In fact, you can count the ingredients, in any one of our flavors, on one hand! Our sauces are based on the traditional Mexican cajeta and we make them slowly (it takes 5 hours in fact!), stirring by hand in traditional copper kettles for a smooth velvety finish. A lot of love goes into these jars! A low-sugar option You’ve probably heard of dulce de leche, the popular sweet sauce made with cow’s milk and sugar. (Quite a lot of sugar in fact!) Our caramel sauce is similar, but with a unique twist. Our recipe is based on a Mexican cajeta, which uses goat’s milk, rather than cow’s. Our sauce has a much lower sugar content, as the main ingredient is dairy. We heat fresh milk slowly, adding just a few additional ingredients to create our tantalizing flavors. Once it’s cooked to absolute perfection, the natural tang of the goat’s milk balances out the richness of the caramel for an utterly irresistible finish. The result is an incredibly creamy caramel sauce, without the overpowering sweetness you may have experienced with other dessert sauces and dips.
ALL-NATURAL INGREDIENTS: Our Vermont maple caramel sauce contains just a handful of all-natural ingredients - the primary one being fresh goats’ milk from carefully selected dairies. We never use any preservatives or stabilizers.
