    Description

You are bidding on an extremely rare Game Used/Worn Craig Muni/Igor Kravchuk CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS JERSEY with 100 Year Stanley Cup Patch from the 1992-93 season. This Size 54 Heavy CCM Knit jersey has some great customizations, as panels have been added to the sleeves to widen them while the wrists have been slit to provide more room. The game wear is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes, a salted fight strap, heavy inner pilling and a team-sewn repair. A nameplate change from Kravchuk to Muni exists on the reverse. Perhaps the most desirable feature of this jersey is that #3 has been retired by the Blackhawks in honor of Pierre Pilote and Keith Magnuson.
The Chicago Blackhawks selected Igor Kravchuk in the 2nd round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Russia had a long and distinguished career in his homeland before coming to the NHL in 1991-92. Igor’s NHL career spanned 12 seasons, during which time he played for Chicago, Edmonton, St. Louis, Ottawa, Calgary and Florida. Kravchuk played in one NHL All Star game during his career and was extremely active on the international stage. Before coming stateside, he represented the USSR in numerous World Championships, a Super Series, the 1987 Canada Cup and the 1988 Olympics. After arriving in North America, Igor went on to represent Russia in the 1991 Canada Cup as well as the 1992, 1998 and 2002 Olympics, making his Olympic total a most impressive 4.
The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Craig Muni in the 2nd round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. He began his NHL career with the Leafs in 1981-82 and spent 4 seasons with them before joining the Edmonton Oilers. Craig spent 7 years in Edmonton, winning 3 Stanley Cups. He later went on to play for the Blackhawks, Sabres, Jets, Penguins and Stars. All told he enjoyed a 16-year NHL career where he earned the respect of his peers for his reliability in his own end of the ice.
The Blackhawks traded Kravchuk to Edmonton in February of 1993. Chicago then acquired Muni from Edmonton in March of 1993. Offered here is a jersey that was worn by both of these defenseman during the 1992-93 NHL season. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. A nice patched offering that was worn by two distinguished NHL veterans.
