Description
Size: 1 9/16" x 1 9/16" x 12"
Pyinma wood (Lagerstroemia Calyculata) AKA = Asian satinwood.
Origin: Southeast Asia.
Beautiful species.  Wood is blonde to cream-tan in color with an unbelievable grain pattern ranging from curly to fiddleback.  Texture is medium-fine with a soft flowing figured.  Even a plain-looking pieces have nice sheen and luster with close-grained to go with it.  Turns and finishes well, nice and easy wood to work with.
Don't be confused with curly maple, this species has tighter grain structure hence the wood grain is hardly visible with a soft-smooth, silky rich glowing color flowing throughout.
This piece is dry and ready for use.
