    Bog Oak Wood lie in many years in the bogs without any exposure to oxygen and completely submerged. Due to the chemical processes, the sap from the wood and minerals from the water dye the wood a black color. The black color is equivalent to more than a thousand years.  Bog Oak is an extremely rare and unique material which color speaks for itself.  It is hard and last for a extremely long time as a finished product.  This bog oak came from Russia.
    All of our knife scales and pen blanks are designed and hand made in our shop here in the United States.    It is approximately 2" x 6" x 1/4".  This listing is for one pair of knife scales (two scales total).
