This is a game-issued #80 Adidas size 56 white jersey that was made for Arizona Coyotes prospect Matthew Maggio. The 19-year-old forward was a 5th-round pick of the New York Islanders on July 8, 2022 after playing for the O
HL's Windsor Spitfires. Maggio was invited to participate in the Coyotes' development camp and five-team Arizona Rookie Faceoff tournament in September 2021.
Maggio elected not to participate so his #80 jersey is only game issued (He wore #81 for Windsor and had 38 goals and 47 assists in 66 games in the 2021-22 OHL season) Everything is sewn on and it has a fight strap. The Coyotes' rookies campers were the last to wear white game jerseys with the howling coyote logo and the team retired the red game jerseys with that logo after the 2021-22 season. They intend to wear only Kachina logoed jerseys from now on. This
jersey was obtained directly from the Coyotes in a bulk buy in May 2022.
