He was a camp invitee at age 19 as he tried to become the first Israeli-born NHL player. Born in Tel Aviv, Levin moved to Canada at age 12 because of a lack of ice rinks in Israel. Reaching the NHL is still a dream for him even though he is now 23 and playing in England for the EIHL's Nottingham Panthers after previous stints with OHL Sudbury and the KHL's Dinamo Riga.

The Coyotes only wear numbered practice jerseys with nameplates in preseason training camp. This jersey is now a defunct style as Arizona now longer plans to practice jerseys in three colors only _ white, black and maroon. The Levin jersey was part of a bulk buy of nearly 500 Adidas practice jerseys worn by the Coyotes over the past three seasons.
