ONE
(1) Curly Hard Maple Wood Dowel.  The dimensions are 3" diameter x 36" length.  These are rough turned and cut to length.  They are vacuum-kiln dried to an average of 6%-8% moisture content.  These are MOSTLY pure white wood when finished.
These dowels are selected from a large inventory of wood and are chosen specifically for their curly, figured quality.  Please see the photos of each grade to determine which you prefer.  Both grades are mostly very straight grained as they are turned from split billets. Grade #1 will be figured throughout most of the dowel and will be without defects or chips.  Grade #2 will be figured in about half of the dowel and might contain a minor defect or chip.  Both grades contain very high quality pieces wood.
Shipping
will be via UPS Ground, Fedex Ground, (or USPS if you purchase only one item).  The shipping calculator will automatically combine shipping costs if you purchase more than one piece of a grade.  Shipping prices are the actual cost with a small handling fee added for the order.  Dowels can be shipped in boxes of up to 5 pieces.

Additional Service:
In addition, we can cut pieces to any custom length and/or put the pieces through the moulder for a smooth surface finish (reduces the diameter to 2.75" +/- 1/32").  The minimum order quantity for this service is two (2) dowels.  For the Cut-to-length service, please specify desired lengths of sections (minimum 9" length per section, tolerance +/- 1/16").  Please specify at time of order if you would like either of these services completed free of charge.
