Vehicle Details
1988 Fiero based 288 GTO replica, under construction as shown. When you see the car in person the first thing that hits you is "Wow, this thing is wide!!" It really looks like the EXOTIC SUPERCAR, where most fiero based 308 replicas look stubby, tall, wrong roof line, wrong windshield position and too skinny. This is dimensionally very accurate to the real ,000,000 prancing horse dream machine, widened about 8" and lengthened about 4". The roof line is much more accurate than Mera based replicas, as is the windshield. Those that have seen it say it's the most accurate replica they have seen. The engine is a GM supercharged 3.8 l with reprogrammed ecm and appropriate wiring upgrades. The clutch alone for this upgrade was about 00.00. It has cross-drilled disk brakes all around. The car does run and drive but will need to be trailered unless you are only going a short distance (very short, the sound level will draw police attention almost immediately).

This project is at about 600 hours of my time right now and ,000.00, and likely 300 hours to finish, estimate only. To be clear, you will not be finishing this in one or two weekends with a buddy and a six pack. Most major fabrication is complete, but many small items are left like driver's side lower fenders and rockers, installing the GTO rear louvers in the quarter panels, headlight covers/headlight grills, hood, wiper motor, front air dam completion, final body prep and paint, interior trim, finish exhaust work. The windshield is a rough cut from a Chrysler Sebring convertible and is broken from being taken in and out during fabrication of the car. It will need a new windshield cut precisely from another Sebring glass.
The chassis was lengthened by cradle stretch, widened by wheel offsets and spacers. The engine bay was reinforced because the 3.8 SC engine appeared to be twisting the existing fiero structure. Headlights were moved apart 6" to fix that typical too-skinny Mera/replica look. The replica body is 8" wider than normal.
DO NOT BID unless you or a representative for you has seen the car IN PERSON!!!!! If you bid and win without seeing the project you will have no one to blame but yourself if you get in over your head.
THIS VEHICLE SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR SHOW PURPOSES ONLY..It is a highly modified old car carved up and welded together by some guy you never met before in his garage. I cannot control what you actually do with it, just keep in mind that fiero's were never intended to have 300 horsepower or go as fast as I'm sure this car can.
