The background story told to me by Dave "Sudsy" Settlemyre.  This experimental jersey was made by Sudsy during the 86-87 playoffs when they battled the Oilers to the finals.  During this time, the Flyers brass hired a designer to come up with a "third" alternative jersey.  Upon hearing this, Sudsy made up his own set of jersey's for the team.  The Dave Brown jersey is the only survivor.  When the time came to review the jersey's Sudsy threw his on the table and the brass not knowing it was his picked this jersey.  When they found out it was Sudsy who designed it they quickly rescinded this jersey because they paid huge money to the designe

The Jersey
This is a 86-87 CCM size 54  jersey.  This jersey was worn by Dave Brown during the morning skates through the 87 playoffs. Once the season was over, the jersey's disappeared except for this one, which Sudsy kept in his collection.
